With all the hate that's spreading all over the world, like a wildfire, destroying everything that it touches. I would like to encourage you to pray for one another, just as Christ would pray for you.
I admit, I too, have become consumed by it, and it makes me very angry just thinking about it. You cannot turn on the Tv, look on any type of social media without seing it, and you can't drive down the road without hearing about it.
I dont see black or white, I see lost souls and brokenness. Lost souls and brokenhearted people that have never seen or felt what the true love of Christ looks and feels like.
Everywhere I turn, you have this community hating on that community, or that community hating on another community. We are to have community with each other, not be divided like the enemy is wants. We are sitting back and allowing satan to grow, to devour, to take over, and to destroy.
He is at work more so today than he has ever been before, and if we don't do something about it, and soon, he is going to drag all of these lost souls with him to hell.
Ask yourselves this, and myself included; "When was the last or only time you’ve ever went into a community different from your own, and showed someone with a different skin tone than yours the TRUE love of Christ?"
It is easy for us to love those that are lovable, but what about those that are difficult, hateful, disrespectful and full of anger?
When are we going to stop with this soft, fluffy, man made Christianity, take a stand in our community, and the other communities to change how we view others?
Of course it is easy to say a prayer passing by, or a glance on social media, and there is nothing wrong with praying, but when are we, as Godly people, going to stop gossiping, and actually show the LOVE of JESUS!?
There are so many different videos on what has been happening wth the Anthony/Metcalf trial, the young man that took the lives of the elderly couple in Mendenhall, MS or the young men that shot a cop in Mt. Olive, Ms or the young man that was brutally beaten and drowned just to name a few.
What ever happened to the value of life? There is no regard for anyones lives anymore. No one values or respects another person’s life in this day and age. Jesus gave us this life, He gave His life for us, for what? The enemy has us blinded to those that takes something that can never be undone.
Now, with those five cases I just mentioned, and that doesn't even begin to scratch the surface. Look at the victims, and look at the suspects. Anthony cannot bring back Metcalf, Hobbs cannot bring back the Blairs, the other Hobbs brother’s cannot take back the 15 shots to Yates and Jackson cannot bring back Valiente-Alba.
Look at it like this; Anthony's family lost a child to the system that is broken by the way. The mom and family of the Hobbs brother’s are now lost in the same broken system, and so is Jackson. We do not know what will happen once they began their lives in prison, but your imagination can run in so many different directions.
Even though Anthony, the Hobbs brother’s, and Jackson are still alive, how are they living? They are thrown into a place where not even grown men survive. They may not even make it out prison before they serve their sentences, if they aren't sentenced to life in prison.
Metcalf, the Bali's, Yates and Valiente-Alba are no longer with us over an action that cannot be restored. Parents can no longer visit their sons, and parents/grandparents over evil crimes that never should have been committed.
The moral to this blog is, so many families are impacted by the choices we make daily. Whether it's by gun shots, stabbings, violently drowning, beat to death, or someone driving while intoxicated. Both sides, both sets of families are impacted every day of every situation.
So, hear this!! Do this!! Be this!! Let us be slow to anger, and let us love abundantly. I am speaking to myself as well. Do I know how I would respond if any of these tragic situations were to happen to me as they were dropped in the laps of these other families? No, I don’t, but I have a feeling I’d get lost in the anger for a moment. It is human to allow feelings to take over and cloud our judgments, or at last it does for me anyways.
I didn't lose my son to murder, but I did lose him, and I was very angry, for a very long time. I got lost in it. I went down a deep dark hole with it, to where it almost took my life. I sympathize with all these parents that lost their children whether it was by murder or their child being the murderer.
What we have to do is stop the hate, stop the excuses, and stop the violence, and what we have to do in times like these, is to stand up and take a stand with one another, stand up for what is right and what is wrong, LOVE ONE ANOTHER in ONE COMMUNITY; a GODLY COMMUNITY!!!
This world is a broken place, but did you know that Jesus gave you the glue when He gave you His Word? Isn’t it about time that we, as Americans, as Godly people, to pick up our glue, and mend the broken just as Jesus did when He walked here?
Imagine what we could mend if we stepped out in faith, and burried the fear that the enemy pounds into our emotions daily. Imagine the impact we could make. Imagine the souls we could save, then the glue you’re holding, they will hold too. The more you mend, the more they'll mend, and they'll mend, and they'll mend untill nothing is else is left broken. Then, will become ONE COMMUNITY in unity with Christ.
That is where His church is! This is what Matthew 28:19 is all about! Mend with me! Step out in faith with me! Show up with me! Spread love, and let it grow like a wildfire until it burns up all the hate, all over this world we ALL live in! Be the change! Show the lost who Jesus really is! It starts with us!! Be disciples, and make disciples! Stop the judgement! Stop hating who Jesus created! He created you, then, us, me!! End racism!!!! End violence! End murder!! It starts with us, and it can end with us!! Together, one community, one unity, together!!
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.”
1 John 4:7 ESV
“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift.”
Ephesians 4:1-7 ESV
“Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.”
Romans 12:10 ESV
“Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.”
1 Peter 4:8 ESV
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”
Matthew 28:19 ESV
