It’s Ok Not To Be Perfect

Do you ever get the feeling that no matter how hard you try, no matter what you do, you never seem to measure up because of your daily failures? You start your day off in prayer and worship, but as soon as you step out of that space with Him, satan starts attacking! I’ve had satan attack me before I could even get started trying to praise and worship, and attack me before I could even get finished. Satan loves to distract the minds of God’s children. Then, it seems as if all that time spent in prayer and worship went out the window because you became frustrated that you allowed him bother you.

Drifting Away

What is, "drifting away?" Have you ever just sat there and pondered on the meaning of these two very powerful, but yet sorrowful words? If you are lost and have been saved, and started backsliding because you may have become lazy in your daily habits for the Lord, been in a situation where you didn't feel God's presence, or maybe satan starts hassling you to the point you feel you are going to break. Either way, if you have turned your back on God, you might just find yourself drifting away.

Stumbling Over Distractions

So many times, I feel as if the stumbling blocks of this world are a great inconvenience and can often feel like gut wrenching pressure to distract us from God’s goodness. When I was having the “emotional feeling” of being saved in the past, when those stumbling blocks arose, I felt that God was turning His back on me. As selfish as I am as a person, how quick was I to say, “God has turned from me!” Aren’t we quick to think the worst at times? We must shut those feelings down immediately, turn to the Scripture’s for truth, and pray. We need to be just as faithful to God, as He is to us!  God loves us all so much. Now, you are in debt because you’ve spent your life savings on these doctors, and you’ve put these expensive procedures on credit, and that’s even more debt. You have no money, you got evicted, you lost your job because of the bleeding, and now you have no car, nowhere to sleep, you are all alone, and deserted. Not to mention you are too weak to walk because you’ve lost so much blood. You feel these is no hope in sight. I couldn’t even begin to imagine how she must have felt.

So, imagine a chart, God (The Father), Jesus (The Son), The Holy Spirit, The Word of God, your partner, yourself, and everything else after that.

Joyfulness

Today, I would like to share with you, something I tend to struggle with. Now, if you are a google freak such as I, you will understand. Before I came to have a personal relationship with Jesus, google was my go-to on everything. Now, when I need to look up anything pertaining to Christ, The Bible, or anything from God’s goodness, I use the concordance in my Bible as my go-to. I am not saying google is a bad thing, but when “googling” God, His Word is where I see it best, for me. Some articles are good for a deeper Spiritual truth. You just have to be extremely careful with what you read.
